Why Peanut Butter is Good to Eat for Your Health

Peanut Butter, a delicious and healthy spread on the morning bread, is a popular victual, endorsed to reduce the development of Type 2 Diabetes. Including five or more servings of the Peanut Butter (equivalent to five ounces of Peanuts) in a week’s diet, helps in controlling weight gain (an exception is Brazil nut, which is a significant source of harmful Saturated Fat).

The optimal serving size for the Peanut Butter is two tablespoons, and the serving size for Peanuts is about one ounce. The intake of Peanuts in conjunction with low caloric, uncooked fillers and snacks (salads or carrot sticks), makes them even more beneficial.

With all these frills of Peanuts and the Peanut Butter, comes a catch. Peanuts and the Peanut Butter are believed to be very high in caloric value. This makes the nut harmful, when indulged in excess. However, overall the benefits of Peanuts prevail and help categorize them as health food. High in Unsaturated Fat, Fiber, and Protein, Peanuts and the Peanut Butter are recognized as an ultimate snack for all ages. In fact these benefits are not limited to Peanuts, any type of nuts, when consumed in a balanced quantity, have these health benefits.

What are HGH Release Supplements

HGH releasers are products that stimulate the pituitary gland to produce and release more human growth hormone. They provide the body with the amino acids that make up HGH so that the body produces its own growth hormone, rather than a person taking synthetic HGH. This is believed to be the most effective form of HGH supplementation and also has fewer side effects than synthetic HGH.

There have been lots of claims made about the benefits of HGH releasers as anti-aging supplements. This is because one of the effects that HGH has on our bodies is to repair tissue damage. The theory seems to be that more HGH means that the body will repair itself more efficiently, so we won’t show the effects of aging as much. This may work to some extent but there’s more to aging than just low HGH levels. Some medical studies have indicated that HGH releasers really don’t help the body to stave off the effects of aging much at all.

Are HGH Supplements Good for You

Human growth hormone (HGH) is, as the name suggests, the hormone responsible for our bodies growing, most notably in childhood. It is secreted by the pituitary gland and, in addition to it being necessary for normal growth, it also stimulates the immune system and cell reproduction, increases muscle mass, calcium retention and protein synthesis, and promotes the breakdown of fat in the fat cells. It is for these reasons that HGH supplements are taken.

The use of HGH supplements as an anti-aging product is somewhat controversial, with some medical studies suggesting that it has no real benefit. Nevertheless, HGH supplements are still taken by body builders and those wanting to lose weight.

Veggies Prevent Diabetes

We all know that we should include several serves of veggies in our diet each day but did you know that one important reason for doing this is that veggies can help to prevent diabetes?

When someone develops diabetes, it means that their body is no longer able to control their blood sugars levels well enough to keep the levels within a healthy range. This means that they need to follow a diet that will not cause their blood sugar levels to rise too high or too quickly. Following this same sort of diet can also help to prevent diabetes from developing in the first place.

One of the best food groups to do this is vegetables. With a few exceptions, such as potatoes, carrots, peas and sweet corn, veggies are some of the best foods for preventing spikes in blood sugar.

Breakfast – most important meal of the day

Many of us have probably heard it said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day but why is this?

Our bodies need food on a regular basis to supply energy to get through each day. Ideally, we should eat small amounts often. This gives us the energy we need and helps to prevent our blood sugar levels going through highs and lows all day.

Obviously though, we can’t eat when we’re asleep. This means that while we’re sleeping our blood sugar levels will drop. When we get up in the morning, our bodies need fuel to get us going. This is why breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you don’t eat first thing in the morning, your body won’t get the fuel it needs. Your metabolism will be slow and you’ll feel sluggish through the day. This can also lead to weight gain because your body gets used to not having energy to burn and your metabolism will stay slow all the time, meaning that your body won’t burn fat as efficiently.

What you eat is also important. Good quality foods containing complex carbohydrates, fiber, and protein are a good way to start the day. Foods such as whole grain cereals or toast, fruit and eggs are all good breakfast options. So make sure you take the time to eat breakfast each day. It really is the most important meal of the day.

Why We Need Fiber in Our Diets

We probably all know that it’s important to include fiber in our diets, but just what is fiber and why do we need it?

Fiber is the indigestible part of the plant-based foods that we eat. It comes in two types – soluble and insoluble.

Soluble fiber is important in our diets because it helps to keep our blood sugar levels fairly steady. Eating plenty of soluble fiber slows down the rate at which our food is digested. This means that the speed at which sugars enter our bloodstreams is slower so we don’t get a sugar high as we would if we ate foods with a high sugar content. No sugar high means that it won’t come crashing down afterwards either, so soluble fiber helps to keep our sugar levels on a more even keel. The advantages of this are that both our energy levels and mood are more stable. It can also help with weight control because we will feel full for longer. Sources of soluble fiber are fruit, vegetables, oats, pulses, nuts and seeds.
