Fat Burning Workout Tips

You might think that the best way to burn fat is to do lots of exercise, whether it be running, swimming, cycling, gym work or whatever. Unfortunately, burning fat efficiently isn’t quite that simple. We need to train our bodies to burn fat not just when we’re exercising but all day long.

A good fat burning workout program uses three levels of exercise at differing intensities.

The first level of training is endurance training. This type of workout should be done at a slow and steady pace. You start exercising for a reasonably short period of time. For example, you might run for 20 minutes, or however long you feel comfortable with. This gives you a base which you can build on. Over time you can increase the length of your workout until you can exercise at a consistent rate for about an hour.

Tone Muscles with Weight Training for Women

If you want to increase your fitness and tone your muscles, weight training can be a valuable exercise. Some women may avoid working with weights because they’re worried that they’ll end up looking too muscular. However, this needn’t be the case. Great benefit can be achieved even using fairly light weights.

Weight training for women, as for men, can both build muscle and increase bone density. The ability to increase bone density is, perhaps, more important for women than men as women are more prone to osteoporosis - a disease which weakens the bones and makes them more susceptible to fractures - particularly following menopause.

If you’ve decided to go ahead with some weight training, there are a couple of simple rules you should follow.

Biggest Loser workouts include all the right things

We have several articles up on the site about The Biggest Loser Workouts from the TV show.  We feel that the show does a good job of really demonstrating that exercise and eating well are what it takes to really lose weight and keep it off.  We also acknoledge that the volume of exercise on the show performed by the contestants is far in excess of what the average person going to the gym would perform.  However, using a little bit of everything from the Biggest Loser workouts is a good idea.  Click on the links to see more of what we have to say about the show.

Your Best Fat Burning Workouts

Here at LiveLeanBlog and LiveLeanToday.com, the number one reason people choose to work out is to improve their appearance, and burning off unwanted fat is the primary goal.  So we talk frequently about how to create the best exercise options so you ar able to get the best results. We have many articles on LiveLeanToday.com for fat burning workouts, and we invite you to click through to see them.

One of the best ways to guarantee results is to have a plan that is tailored directly to you. Most people tend to do their cardiovascular exercise, for example, the same way every time.  whether it’s slow endurance training, threshold training at the highest level they can maintain, or interval training in a spinning class over and over again, repetitive cardio done the same way each time does not produce the best results.  Click on the fat burning workouts link to see how you can use all three types of cardio and a heart rate monitor to burn the most fat.

Can’t Live Without Supplement #3: Lean Out by Beverly International

In concluding my brief series on supplements I can’t live without, the latest is Lean Out by Beverly International, my favorite fat burning supplement of all time.  The reason I like this one is that it is not a stimulant based product, which would burn fat by dramatically raising the metabolism of the body artificially.  With Lean Out, the product supplies the body with nutrients which specifically target fat as a fuel source rather than muscle, thus getting your body to be burning fat throughout the day more effectively, and especially during cardiovascular exercise.  If you want to lose body fat, this is the product for you.  It also improves cardiovascular performance, because fat becomes the fuel of choice in the system quicker, thus preserving carbohydrate and allowing for longer and more intense workout duration.  This one really works!!

My Can’t Live Without Supplements #2: Gamma with CLA

In this brief series I am putting together on my “Can’t Live Without Supplements” my next installment is about my favorite sports supplement of all time, Gamma-O with CLA Natural Testosterone Booster.  This supplement is probably the perfect one for a guy my age who is doing his best to stay fit and full of energy as I get older.  Gamma-O with CLA Liquid Capsules combines a natural testosterone booster (Gamma Oryzanol) with the fat burning and health benefits of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) for what is perhaps the best sport supplement on the market.  I have much more energy and recover much quicker with this product, and carry several pounds more muscle on my body as a result of using it.  I literally recommend it to everyone that I talk to.

My Can’t Live Without Supplements!

As I approach age 43 here on July 8, I feel fortunate that I live and work as a personal trainer, because it gives me opportunities to learn about new products that I can use as I get older that really make a difference to my workouts and overasll sense of well being.  I wanted to mention of few of the supplements that I use that I consider “Can’t Live Without”. The first one is Ecdysterone 300 by Scifit.  I can’t believe how effective this supplement is at keeping my body wanting to put on muscle!  I am recovering quicker, feel more rested and am lifting more weight in the last few weeks since starting this new supplement.  Click on the link to see more.

Canyoneering a great new adventure for us!!

My fellow blogger and LiveLeanToday.com owner Bryan and I have been having a lot of fun lately exploring some canyons in southern Arizona, with a recent trip to a canyon route called “The Jug” being our latest.  This trip required a lot of fitness as well as some technical rope skills and just plain outdoor savvy as we encountered a rattlesnake, hand over hand climbing and scrambling, and a technical rappel down into a deep pool of runoff water.  We came out the other side feeling great and glad that we were in shape enough to go out and do something like this.  Check out the Canyoneering section that we have put up on LiveLeanToday.com.
