Cancer is an unpredictable disease. It can attack you, me, anybody, of any age group, though most commonly detected in people over the age of 50. If lethal in its stage, the disease makes the patient go through a long and painful journey of sufferings until death. The worst part is its sneaky nature. It may be growing within a body without showing any symptoms at its initial stage. So widespread is Cancer today that if we look around, it is hard to spot a family untouched by this mostly life threatening disease.
Surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and immunotherapy, are some of the commonest types of treatments available, depending on the stage of cancer. Inherited mutations, chemicals, viruses, hormones, and radiations are some of the commonest cancer inducing factors.
Despite all the cures and remedies available, it is always better to have a precautionary approach in life, a fitness fact well leveraged by a right diet. Some foods contribute to cancer development, while some reduce its risk considerably. Just a slight modification in your food habits and you can keep cancer off. Lets take a look:
• White Meat. Switch to seafood from red meat.
• Fat Reduction. Avoid fatty foods. Use oils rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as fish and flax oils.
• Calcium Intake. Have calcium rich foods such as dairy products, yogurt, and bony fish. Seasonings of turmeric, garlic, ginger, and cumin are quite helpful in minimizing the chances of breast cancer.
• Antioxidants. Fresh fruits and vegetables are rich in cancer fighting antioxidants.
Some Anti Cancer Vegetables: Kale, Broccoli, radish, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, eggplant, green beans, tomatoes, soy, sweet potatoes, onions (red), and peppers.
Some Anti Cancer Fruits: Apricots, lemons, grapes, oranges, blueberries, mangoes, strawberries, papaya.
• Chocolate Binge. Eat dark chocolates without any tension, as they contain a compound, which fights against colorectal cancer, without disturbing the body’s homoeostasis.

Most of the allergies are caused due to various bacteria, dust molecules, furs, and other substances (such as pollen & smoke) present in the air. These allergy triggers are referred to as allergens. If you are one of those sneezing, coughing, or developing rashes after being exposed to any of these agents, then high time you track your allergy spells. It is advisable to maintain a record of the symptoms, the frequency of occurrences, and the causatives of your allergy, in order to be able to control its eruption. Once you know what is aggravating your allergy, you should make every possible attempt to stay away from the allergens.
A few precautions that may effectively help you deal with common allergens are:
• Cover your face with a cloth when it’s dusty outside.
• Replace carpet flooring with tiles or wooden. Carpet is often a storehouse of allergy triggering bacteria, dust, and other germs.
• Clean air ducts of air conditioner regularly.
• Investing in hypoallergenic bedding may be worthwhile.
• Avoid keeping pets at home if possible. If not, lay down strict hygiene rules like washing hands regularly and the bedroom to be out of bound for pets.
Medically, Allergy Shots are available in the market these days that progressively moderate the consequences of an allergen. They aren’t however, any guarantee and may take a considerable amount of time in showing results.

What is Rheumatoid Arthritis?
Rheumatoid Arthritis is a type of Arthritis, which mainly affects young people, especially women. Its inveteracy makes it dangerously crippling. Just like a standard Arthritis, its rheumatoid form affects Joints, their Synovial Membranes, Cartilages, and the other Tissues connected to the Joints, or carrying blood to them.
What causes Rheumatoid Arthritis?
• Autoimmune Condition. Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune condition, in which the body attacks itself. The Antibodies generated by the Immune System to attack harmful Bacteria & Viruses instead attack the Tissues surrounding the Joints. This autoimmune response of the body causes the swelling of the Tissues, and finally their destruction.
• Genetics. What triggers the onset of Rheumatoid Arthritis in the body is not known with certainty. Some scientists however, believe that it is due to genetic factors and therefore, susceptible Genes may be involved in the initial mechanism.

HGH releasers are products that stimulate the pituitary gland to produce and release more human growth hormone. They provide the body with the amino acids that make up HGH so that the body produces its own growth hormone, rather than a person taking synthetic HGH. This is believed to be the most effective form of HGH supplementation and also has fewer side effects than synthetic HGH.
There have been lots of claims made about the benefits of HGH releasers as anti-aging supplements. This is because one of the effects that HGH has on our bodies is to repair tissue damage. The theory seems to be that more HGH means that the body will repair itself more efficiently, so we won’t show the effects of aging as much. This may work to some extent but there’s more to aging than just low HGH levels. Some medical studies have indicated that HGH releasers really don’t help the body to stave off the effects of aging much at all.

If you watched the new season of the Biggest Loser Families last night I wanted to add my opinion from a trainers point of view. What I like about the show is that it demonstrates that any person no matter how far gone a person’s health can turn around their weight and health if they chose too.
I am still inspired after each episode and proud to see the competitors taking on their habits and making a difference in their health issues.
The cop guy who couldn’t do more than 30 minutes of exercise do to his health still lost 17 pounds. This shows the importance that diet plays even above fitness to lose weight. Five small meals and eating the right amound of calories is a guranteed way to lose weight that keeps it off for life.
