They make a number of protein products including eight different whey protein supplements. They also have casein, egg and soy proteins, as well as protein blends like Nitrocore 24 and Pro Complex.
There’s also several diet supplements and fat-burning products in Optimum Nutrition’s range. These include L-carnitine, an amino acid which helps to transport fat to muscles so it can be burned for energy, and CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) which has been shown to help reduce fat.
Then there’s your everyday vitamins and minerals, including men’s, women’s and sport multiples, as well as a B complex and C combination.
Specialty products include fish oil, flaxseed oil, which is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, glucosamine and stevia, a natural sweetener.
Finally, there’s Optimum Nutrition’s strength and recovery range which includes creatine, glutamine and BCAA (branched chain amino acid) supplements. Creatine is a substance used by skeletal muscles as a source of energy, while glutamine is involved in protein synthesis and is believed to help build muscle tissue.
According to Optimum Nutrition’s website, all of their products are manufactured in-house, giving them complete control over the manufacturing process. Raw materials are tested for quality by independent laboratories and all products are made using strict quality controls.
